Aaron Franklin has more than 15 years of experience in international trade, business and finance. Prior to relocating full time to Vermont, from 2020-2025 he was a managing director at a global financial institution, serving clients across North and South America. From 2012-2020, he was an attorney at one of the world’s largest law firms (Latham & Watkins), representing some of the world's most sophisticated public companies, investment banks and funds. From 2010-2012, Aaron clerked for the Honorable Judge Timothy Stanceu at the U.S. Court of International Trade.
Aaron received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where he graduated in the top 1% of his class with a certificate in World Trade Organization studies. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
Aaron is licensed to practice law in Vermont and New York. He has completed the Export Control Compliance Institute certificate exams for International Trade in Arms Regulations and Export Administration Regulations.
